AN ACT concerning children and minors; relating to the newborn infant protection act; allowing the surrender of physical custody of an infant to a newborn safety device; requiring inquiries and reporting of Indian child status; adding the requirement of great bodily harm to the crime of child abandonment to qualify for immunity; amending K.S.A. 38-2203 and 38-2282 and K.S.A. 2022 Supp. 21-5605 and repealing the existing sections.
