Authorizing certain telecommunications and video service providers to operate in county public right-of-way and limiting the fees and costs that a county may impose upon such providers for such activities.

Chairman Delperdang called for final action on HB2806.

Nick Myers provided an overview of the bill and responded to questions from the committee members.

The Chair asked the committee for amendments.

Representative Hoheisel presented an amendment that clarifies some of the language of the permit fees the counties could assess to video service providers for expenses incurred while issuing, processing and verifying the permit application associated with excavation or construction. (Attachment1)

Representative Hoheisel moved to adopt the amendment, seconded by Representative Schlingensiepen. Motion carried.

The chair presented a technical amendment. Attachment2).

Representative Delperdang moved to adopt the amendment, seconded by Representative Ohaebosim. Motion carried.

Representative Neighbor made a motion to favorably pass out HB2806 as amended, seconded by Representative Hohesiel. Motion carried. Representatives Carmichael, Melton, Schlingensiepen and Ohaebosim requested their "aye" votes be recorded.
