Chairperson Humphries opened the hearing on HB2755. 

Natalie Scott provided an overview of HB2755. She stood for questions. (Attachment 1)

Proponents

Katie Whisman, Kansas Bail Agents Association, testified for HB2755 by stating the bill strikes a balance between personal liberties and public safety. (Attachment 2)

Shane Rolf, Vice President, Kansas Bail Agents Association, spoke in favor of HB2755 by noting it would increase professionalism in the bail bond industry. He stated HB2755 would serve to protect individual liberties. (Attachment 3)

Captain Travis Rakestraw, Wichita Police Department, spoke in favor of the bill. He stated the bill would improve public safety. (Attachment 4)

Jeff Easter, Kansas Sheriffs Association, spoke in favor of HB2755 by stating it would create much needed checks and balances for the bond industry and improve public safety. (Attachment 5)
