HCR 5032 would approve the creation of the City of Pittsburg, Kansas, Port Authority.
The preamble of the concurrent resolution notes, among other things, that the economic prosperity and well-being of the City of Pittsburg, Kansas, will be enhanced by the creation of a port authority, and that he city commission of Pittsburg proposes to pass an ordinance to create a City of Pittsburg, Kansas, Port Authority.
The resolution resolves that the Legislature, in accordance with the provisions of KSA 12-3402, hereby approves the creation of the City of Pittsburg, Kansas, Port Authority.
Background
Proponents of the resolution included the Kansas Agricultural Alliance and the Kansas Grain and Feed Association.
