SESSION OF 2001

SUPPLEMENTAL NOTE ON HOUSE BILL NO. 2551

As Amended by House Committee on
Appropriations

Brief (1)

HB 2551, as amended, would:

Background

The Director of the Division of Accounts and Reports testified in support of the bill.

The bill as introduced allowed the Secretary to provide for subsistence even in those cases of employees who travel less than 30 miles away from, and return to, their work stations the same day. The House Committee amendment continues the current statutory prohibition against subsistence payments in those instances.

The Division of the Budget's fiscal note indicates the bill could have a minimal fiscal impact, but would not likely require any funds to be added to state budgets.
