SESSION OF 2001

SUPPLEMENTAL NOTE ON HOUSE BILL NO. 2457

As Recommended by House Committee on
Health and Human Services

Brief (1)

HB 2457 concerns physicians assistants and makes technical changes in statutes to accurately reflect that physicians assistants are licensed individuals under the Physicians Assistants Licensure Act. Additionally, two statutes, amended twice in the 2000 Session, are reconciled and the duplicate statutes repealed.

Background

HB 2457 was requested by the Revisor of Statutes to update statutory references and reconcile sections necessary because of the Physicians Assistant Licensure Act enacted in the 2000 Session.

The fiscal note prepared by the Division of the Budget indicates passage of the bill will have no fiscal effect.
