SESSION OF 2001

SUPPLEMENTAL NOTE ON SENATE
SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 2146

As Recommended by Senate Committee on
Financial Institutions and Insurance

Brief (1)

Senate Sub. for HB 2146 concerns the Kansas Business Health Partnership Act and deletes the provision in current law which sunsets the Act on July 1, 2002.

Background

HB 2146 originally dealt with the general powers of banks. The provisions of the bill were amended into HB 2148 as both bills amended the same section of banking law.

Senate Sub. for HB 2146 strikes the banking provisions and inserts language to delete the sunset provision from the Kansas Business Health Partnership Act passed by the Legislature in the 2000 Session.
