Brief (1)



Sub. for HB 2080 amends the law regarding theft to include the unlawful possession of a sales receipt or universal product code label to mean possessing 15 or more fraudulent retail sales receipts or universal product code labels or possessing the device which manufactures these receipts or labels. Possession of these items constitutes a presumption of intent to cheat or defraud a retailer. Violation of this provision is a severity level 9 nonperson felony.
