SB 294 would eliminate the prohibition on using moneys in the Chemical Control Fund to supplant other local, state, or federal funds.





Background



A representative of the Department of Health and Environment testified in favor of the bill. According to the agency, the bill would allow the moneys in the fund to be used for cleanup of clandestine laboratories. There were no opponents to the bill presenting testimony to the Committee.



The fiscal note from the Division of the Budget did not specify a fiscal impact for the bill.
