S.B. 96 would require a party filing a motion to modify a final order pertaining to child custody or residential placement to include with specificity all known factual allegations which constitute the basis for requesting the change.
Background
The bill was recommended by the Family Law Advisory Council of the Kansas Judicial Council. Frequently, such motions are filed under current law without any rationale for the proposed change.
