Brief(1)



H.B. 2742 would amend the law regarding farm equipment, outdoor power equipment, and law and garden dealers and the manufacturer or supplier of the equipment to provide that if the manufacturer or supplier has the ability to approve or deny a dealer's request to sell or transfer ownership of the business, the approval or denial of such a request must be within 90 days of the request. If no action is taken within 90 days, the request will be deemed approved. If the request is denied, the manufacturer or supplier must provide a written notice of the denial with the reasons for the denial.
