S.B. 540 makes technical changes in statutes dealing with crimes and criminal procedure to increase consistency in statutory language regarding duration of sentences by substituting six months for 180 days and three months for 90 days in statutes dealing with dispositions to a conservation camp and incarceration following revocation of postrelease supervision.





Background



The bill was supported by the Department of Corrections. A spokesman said the bill will facilitate sentence calculations by the Department.



The bill has no fiscal impact.
