An Act concerning the state educational institutions; relating to regulation and control of
traffic and parking; amending K.S.A. 1996 Supp. 74-3213 and repealing the existing
section.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:

Section 1. K.S.A. 1996 Supp. 74-3213 is hereby amended to read as
follows: 74-3213. The governing authority of an institution may provide
for the charging and collection of fees for the use of parking facilities and
for campus transportation systems at the institution, and these and all
fees for misuse of parking areas so collected shall be placed in a separate
account and may be used by the institution for payment of the expense
of enforcing the rules and policies governing parking and speed limits
and the construction, acquisition, maintenance and repair of parking fa-
cilities for vehicles and for campus transportation systems for vehicles at
such institution.

Sec. 2. K.S.A. 1996 Supp. 74-3213 is hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the statute book.
