SENATE BILL No. 49

An act concerning annual reports to the governor by the commissioner of insurance;
amending K.S.A. 40-108 and repealing the existing section.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:

Section 1. K.S.A. 40-108 is hereby amended to read as follows: 40-
108. In addition to his annual and biennial reports, The commissioner of
insurance shall make a separate an annual report to the governor of the
general conduct and condition of the insurance companies, including fra-
ternal benefit societies, doing business in this state, with such suggestions
as he deems expedient, including also the information contained in the
statement required of such companies, and the result of the official val-
uations of life policies, to be arranged in form in two separate reports,
one pertaining to life insurance companies and the other to fire and all
insurance companies other than life
. The commissioner of insurance shall
keep and preserve in a permanent form a full record of his the commis-
sioner's
proceedings, including a concise statement of the condition of
each company reported, visited or examined by him the commissioner.

Sec. 2. K.S.A. 40-108 is hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the statute book.
