FIFTEENTH DAY
______
Hall of the House of Represenatitives
Topeka, KS, Monday, January 31, 2000, 11:00 a.m.
The House met pursuant to adjournment with Speaker pro tem Mays in the chair.

The roll was called with 123 members present.

Rep. Henderson was excused on verified illness.

Rep. P. Long was excused on excused absence by the Speaker.

   Prayer by Chaplain Svoboda:

              Gracious God,

             We give you thanks

for another year of Kansas history in our past,

and we ask your blessings on this 140th year

                  of statehood.

             As Kansas Day this weekend

              reminded us of our forebearers

               who organized this state,

             so too are we reminded

              of the prophets and pilgrims

               who called our ancestors

                into right relationship with You.

             Help us to continue listening

for Your word in our lives,

               both in these chambers

                and in the world.

In Your name we pray, Amen.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Rep. Minor.
