Journal of the Senate

THIRTY-FIFTH DAY
______
Senate Chamber Topeka, Kansas
Tuesday, March 3, 1998--2:30 p.m.
The Senate was called to order by President Dick Bond.

 The roll was called.

 Invocation by Senator Larry Salmans:

      Heavenly Father,

We humbly come into your presence today acknowledging that all good and per-
fect gifts come from You. I am especially thankful for the wonderful time of renewal
the past few days. It was great to have time alone with our families and with You. I
thank You for each senator with whom I serve, for I know that each of us is here
only by Your grace; that each breath and heartbeat is a gift from You. It is You that
has given us life and the opportunity to serve the people of the State of Kansas, and
it is our prayer that always, whether in private or in public, we will glorify You, our
Creator and our God. We know that there is a time coming when every knee will
bow and every tongue confess that you are Lord, and our sincere desire is that when
that time comes we will hear You say ``well done you good and faithful servant, enter
into the joy of your Creator''. We love You and it is in Your precious son Jesus Christ's
      name that we pray. Amen.
