10             AN ACT making and concerning appropriations for the fiscal years ending
11             June 30, 2001, June 30, 2002 and June 30, 2003, for the Kansas com-
12             mission on veterans affairs for a donation for the National World War
13             II Memorial; authorizing certain transfers and imposing certain re-
14             strictions and limitations, and directing or authorizing certain receipts
15             and disbursements and acts incidental to the foregoing.

17       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
18        Section 1. (a) For the fiscal years ending June 30, 2001, June 30, 2002,
19       and June 30, 2003, appropriations are hereby made, restrictions and lim-
20       itations are hereby imposed, and transfers, receipts, disbursements and
21       acts incidental to the foregoing are hereby directed or authorized as pro-
22       vided in this act.
23        (b) The appropriations made by this act shall not be subject to the
24       provisions of K.S.A. 46-155 and amendments thereto.
25        Sec. 2.

KANSAS COMMISSION ON VETERANS AFFAIRS
27        (a) There is appropriated for the above agency from the state general
28       fund for the fiscal year or years specified, the following:
29       National World War II Memorial donation
30       For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001 $25,000
31       For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2002 $90,000
32       For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2003 $90,000
33       Provided, That the above agency shall administer and provide for the
34       disposition of these donations for the National World War II Memorial,
35       located in Washington, District of Columbia, on behalf of the state of
36       Kansas.
37        Sec. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
38       publication in the Kansas register.
