10             AN  ACT regulating traffic; defining the term accident report; amending
11             K.S.A. 1999 Supp. 8-1486 and repealing the existing section.

13       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
14             New Section  1. "Accident report" means:
15             (a) The most recent version of the printed report form for entering
16       information concerning motor vehicle accidents prepared and approved
17       by the department of transportation; or
18             (b) a data set of the same information as is contained in the form
19       referred to in subsection (a) created with a computer application program
20       approved by the department of transportation.
21             Sec.  2. K.S.A. 1999 Supp. 8-1486 is hereby amended to read as fol-
22       lows: 8-1486. K.S.A. 8-1414a, 8-1459a and 8-1475a, and amendments
23       thereto, and K.S.A. 1999 Supp. 8-1402a, 8-1439c and 8-1458a, and
24       amendments thereto, and K.S.A. 1999 Supp. 8-1487 section 1, and
25       amendments thereto, shall be a part of, and supplemental to, the uniform
26       act regulating traffic on highways. 
27       Sec.  3. K.S.A. 1999 Supp. 8-1486 is hereby repealed.
28        Sec.  4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
29       publication in the statute book.
