  9             AN  ACT establishing a center of excellence on sustainable agriculture
10             and alternative crops at Kansas state university.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13             Section  1. There is hereby established at Kansas state university the
14       center of excellence on sustainable agriculture and alternative crops. The
15       center of excellence on sustainable agriculture and alternative crops shall
16       emphasize research, education, outreach and marketing for sustainable
17       agriculture and alternative food, fiber and medicinal crops. The funding
18       for the center of excellence shall be redirected funds within the existing
19       budget for the extension systems and agriculture research program at
20       Kansas state university.
21        Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
22       publication in the statute book.
