  9             AN  ACT concerning limitation of actions; relating to services by land
10             surveyor; amending K.S.A. 60-511 and repealing the existing section.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13             Section  1. K.S.A. 60-511 is hereby amended to read as follows: 60-
14       511. The following actions shall be brought within five (5) years: (1) An
15       action upon any agreement, contract or promise in writing.
16             (2) An action brought on any covenant of seizin contained in any deed
17       of conveyance of land.
18             (3) An action brought on a covenant of warranty contained in any
19       deed of conveyance of land, after there shall have been a final decision
20       against the title of the covenantor in such deed.
21             (4) An action upon the official bond or undertaking of an executor,
22       administrator, conservator, sheriff, or any other officer, or upon the bond
23       or undertaking given in attachment, injunction, arrest, or in any case re-
24       quired by statute law.
25             (5) An action arising out of the rendering or failure to render services
26       by a land surveyor.
27             (6) An action for relief, other than the recovery of real property not
28       provided for in this article five of chapter 60 of the Kansas Statutes
29       Annotated. 
30       Sec.  2. K.S.A. 60-511 is hereby repealed.
31        Sec.  3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
32       publication in the statute book.
