  9             AN  ACT authorizing the Kansas department of wildlife and parks to ex-
10             ceed established expenditure limitations for compliance with federal
11             aid expenditure requirements.

13       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
14             Section  1. (a) The Kansas department of wildlife and parks may make
15       additional expenditures from the funds listed in subsection (b) for the
16       purposes of allocating appropriate funds to programmatic expenditures if
17       necessary in order to comply with requirements established by the United
18       States fish and wildlife service for the utilization of federal aid funds. Such
19       expenditures shall be in addition to any expenditure limitation imposed
20       upon the funds listed in subsection (b) as contained within legislation
21       establishing expenditure limitations for a state fiscal year as described
22       within any such legislation.
23             (b) The provisions of subsection (a) shall apply only to the wildlife
24       fee fund created by K.S.A. 32-990 and amendments thereto; the park fee
25       fund created by K.S.A. 32-991 and amendments thereto; and the boating
26       fee fund created by K.S.A. 32-1173 and amendments thereto.
27             (c) The secretary of wildlife and parks shall prepare an annual report
28       on all expenditures authorized by subsection (a). Such report shall be
29       submitted to the governor and the legislature on the first day of each
30       regular legislative session.
31        Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
32       publication in the Kansas register.
