  9             AN  ACT concerning limitations on certain civil actions; relating to certain
10             regulated products and services.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13             Section  1. The state of Kansas and any political subdivision thereof
14       shall neither bring, institute, commence nor maintain any action against
15       any person for injury or damages relating or pertaining to the lawful de-
16       sign, manufacture, production, transfer, distribution, sale, consumption,
17       use or other disposition in interstate or intrastate commerce of a legal
18       product or service if such product or service is subject to federal, state or
19       other governmental product or service-specific regulation and such prod-
20       uct or service is also subject to a product or service-specific tax, charge
21       or fee levied by any federal, state or other governmental unit.
22        Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
23       publication in the statute book.
