  9             AN  ACT concerning agriculture; enabling Kansas to enter into the south-
10             ern dairy interstate compact.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13             Section  1. The state of Kansas shall seek to enter into the southern
14       dairy interstate compact with party states for the purpose of the orderly
15       marketing of milk. The secretary of agriculture is hereby authorized to
16       seek to enter into such compact on behalf of the state of Kansas.
17        Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
18       publication in the statute book.
