14             AN  ACT concerning the flag of the United States of America; relating
15             to the use and display thereof.

17       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
18             Section  1. (a) The state board of education shall implement a pro-
19       gram of instruction relating to the flag of the United States of America
20       and to flag etiquette, use and display. Such course shall include the
21       requirements contained in 36 U.S.C. § § 170 through 177, as in effect on
22       the effective date of this act. Such course may include other provisions
23       deemed necessary by the board.
24             (b) The state board of education shall adopt any rules and regulations
25       necessary to implement the provisions of subsection (a).
26        Sec.  2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
27       publication in the statute book.
