                    HOUSE BILL No. 2603           By Joint Committee on State Building Construction           12-17           10             AN ACT concerning state energy conservation improvements; fiscal year
11             limitation; amending K.S.A. 75-37,114 and repealing the existing
12             section.

14       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
15           Section 1. K.S.A. 75-37,114 is hereby amended to read as follows:
16       75-37,114. (a) The projects for energy conservation improvements for
17       state facilities which are initiated by state agencies under this act are
18       hereby approved for such state agencies for the purposes of subsection
19       (b) of K.S.A. 74-8905 and amendments thereto.
20           (b) The total costs of the projects for energy conservation improve-
21       ments under this act for any fiscal year, exclusive of financing costs, shall
22       not exceed $5,000,000 $10,000,000, except on approval of the state fi-
23       nance council acting on this matter which is hereby characterized as a
24       matter of legislative delegation and subject to the guidelines prescribed in
25       subsection (c) of K.S.A. 75-3711c and amendments thereto.
26           Sec. 2. K.S.A. 75-37,114 is hereby repealed.
27           Sec. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
28       publication in the Kansas register.
