                    HOUSE BILL No. 2589           By Joint Committee on Economic Development           12-17             9             AN ACT concerning state sponsored seed and venture capital funds; pro-
10             hibiting out-of-state investment thereby.

12       Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
13           Section 1. No seed or venture capital fund in which the Kansas tech-
14       nology enterprise corporation is an investor, either directly or through a
15       surrogate instrumentality, shall invest any funds in any firm which has its
16       principal place of business outside the state.
17           Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
18       publication in the statute book.
