 9  A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION designating the square dance as the
10    official state folk dance of Kansas and the polka as a state ethnic dance.

12    Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Kansas,
13  the Senate concurring therein:  That the square dance is hereby desig-
14  nated and declared to be the official folk dance of the state of Kansas;
15  and
16    Be it further resolved:  That the polka dance is hereby designated as
17  a state ethnic dance of Kansas; and
18    Be it further resolved:  That the Secretary of State be directed to send
19  an enrolled copy of this resolution to the Governor and to the Executive
20  Director of the State Historical Society.
