Chairman Landwehr requested Scott Brunner, Deputy Secretary of Hospitals and Facilities, Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, provide a review of amendments drafted from compromises agreed upon by both parties.
Mr. Brunner responded to questions from the committee.
Representative Ruiz requested that the statement "or subject to pending litigation be included in the balloon amendment on page 2, line 18 and the balloon amendment on page3, line 6.
Representative Eplee motioned and Representative Clifford seconded that the balloon amendments be approved including the additional language. Motion carried.
Representative Barker motioned and Representative Wolfe-Moore seconded to add hospitals as training facilities. Motion carried.
Representative Barker motioned and Representative Blex seconded to add to a requirement for completing the Certified Nurse Aide training. Motion carried.
Representative Eplee motioned and Representative Ellis seconded to pass out SB453 favorably as amended. Motion carried.
Chairman Landwehr stated that there were no other bills to be heard or worked by the committee. She thanked the committee for their hard work this session.
