Chairperson Longbine opened the hearing on SB335. Eileen Ma, ROS, presented the Revisor's Memorandum brief. (Attachment 2)
Oral proponent, Alex Orel, Senior Vice President-Government Relations, Kansas Bankers Association (KBA) introduced his guests, also from KBA, Kathy Taylor, Executive Vice President-General Counsel, Kelly VanZwoll, Assistant Vice President-Government Relations, Alex Greig, President-KBA Insurance, and Elizabeth Roche, Senior Vice President-Employee Benefits Administration. Mr. Orel then presented testimony favoring passage of the bill and answered a question from Senator Gossage. (Attachment 3)
Brandi Miller, Senior Vice President/CEO, Kansas Cooperative Council, spoke in favor of SB335. She answered a question from Senator Dietrich. (Attachment 4)
Chairperson Longbine called attention to the written-only proponent testimony of Catherine Partington, on behalf of Agri-Business Benefits Group, Inc. (Attachment 5) He then asked if there were other questions, discussion, comments, or any other proponent, opponent, or neutral testimony to be submitted. Seeing none, he closed the hearing on SB335.
