Chairperson Barker opened the hearing on HB2422.  Matt Sterling, Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview on the bill (Attachment 28).

Chairperson Barker recognized the following individuals who testified in support of HB2422: Lauren Van Wagoner (Attachment 29); Max Robins (Attachment 30); Michele Hanash (Attachment 31); Nancy Zalusky Berg (Attachment 32); Amanda Parker (Attachment 33); Dawn Tyree (Attachment 34); and Rima Nashashibi (Attachment 35).

Chairperson Barker opened the floor for questions from the Committee members to the proponents. 

Chairman Barker directed the Committee's attention to the written proponent testimony of Lene Brooke (Attachment 36); Mark Engman, UNISEF USA (Attachment 37); Genevieve Meyer, Resiliency Foundation (Attachment 38); Alison Gill, American Atheists (Attachment 39); Alex Goyette, Tahirih Justice Center (Attachment 40); Billie Jean Ove, Unchained at Last (Attachment 41); Marilyn Smith (Attachment 42); Richard Smith (Attachment 43) (Attachment 43A) ; Nicholas Syrett, Ph.D. (Attachment 44); Sara Tasneem (Attachment 45); and Joreida Torres, Unchained at Last (Attachment 46).

Chairperson Barker closed the hearing on HB2422.
