Chairman Longbine opened the hearing on SB135

David Wiese, Assistant Revisor, Kansas Revisor of Statutes (ROS) office, appeared via Webex remote to present an overview of the bill.  (Attachment 1)

Alan Conroy, Executive Director, Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS), appeared in person and gave an informational briefing regarding moving the State Correctional Officers to Kansas Police and Firemen retirement system (KP&F).   Please note:  As you view the charts on the last two pages of testimony online, you can increase the size of the charts by holding down the "Ctrl" (control) key and then rolling the "wheel" on your mouse forward or backward, making the charts grow larger or smaller.  (Attachment 2)  Mr. Conroy answered a question from Chair Longbine pertaining to the difference between Group A and Group B employees in the plan, that being Group A consists of the corrections officers; Group B consists of non-corrections officers, e.g. food service workers and others.
