Natalie Scott provided an overview of SB293(Attachment 3) Ms. Scott stood for questions.

Derek Schmidt testified in support of the bill. (Attachment 4) A.G. Schmidt explained this bill will transfer certain responsibilities currently in the Office of the Secretary of State to the Office of the Attorney General. He explained that he and the Secretary of State had worked closely together over the last year and identified this as a responsibility better held within the Attorney General's office and becomes more efficient due to similar duties already held by the Attorney General's office.  A.G. Schmidt stood for questions.

Their office has the expertise and resources to manage these areas while targeting bad actors. He also suggested and explained an amendment included in his attachment. Mr. Dugan stood for questions.
