Requiring the repeal or suspension of existing sales tax exemption when implementing any new exemption, providing for a sales tax exemption for envision, inc. and friends of hospice of Jefferson county and imposing sales tax on certain services.

Chairperson Johnson opened the hearing for HB2727 and recognized Adam Siebers who provided an overview on HB2727 (Attachment 48).  Mr. Siebers stood for questions from Committee members.

Kathleen Smith provided an overview on the fiscal note for HB2727 stating the bill will increase state revenue fund by $5.6 million in fiscal year 2021. Of that total the State General Fund is estimated to increase by $4.7 million in FY2021 and by $11.7 million in FY2022.  The State Highway Fund is estimated to increase by $914,665 in FY2021 and by $2.2 million in FY2022.
