Natalie Scott reviewed the HB2532.
Representative Kuether, Owens, Warren, Carmichael, all expressed multiple concerns regarding this bill. The overriding concern is this bill would allow the existing problem of violating the Stop Arm to be addressed as a criminal issue via civil law. All members feel this is an issue that needs to addressed. Alternative suggestions were made that could potentially help address the issue.
Representative Karlskint, who was substituting for Representative Jennings and initially introduced the bill, provided further explanation of bill HB2532 and the details of implementing. He provided some additional information in the form of a handout. (Attachment 2)

Bills planned for action on Monday February 24th are HB2641, HB2468, HB2713, HB2532, HB2333.
Representative Kuether asked what would be done on HB2306. Chairperson Patton has talked with several members and is planning to draft a letter to send this bill to the Judicial Council. The membership agreed that was a good next step.
