Chairperson Vickrey opened the discussion on HB 2053. After a short discussion, Representative Capps moved to favorably pass the bill out of committee, Representative Cox seconded. Representatives Bishop, Finney and Neighbor were recorded as having voted "no" on the bill.
Representative Awerkamp offered an amendment to the bill (Attachment 1). Assistant Revisor of Statutes Eileen Ma briefed the members on the amendment and the members discussed the changes. After discussion, Representative Awerkamp moved to close the amendment Motion carried. Representative Capps moved to favorably pass out the bill as amended, Representative Waggoner seconded and the motion carried. Representatives, Neighbor, Woodard, Finney, Bishop, Dierks and Moore were recorded as having voted "no."
