Representatives had questions and comments.

Assistant Solicitor General Natalie Chalmers testified in support of HB2283 on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General. Solicitor Chalmers stated the bill seeks to end victim-blaming for young victims of sexually violent crimes, along with electronic solicitation, and for all victims when the offender offers to hire a victim to engage in an unlawful sex act.(Attachment 1)

Representative Highberger had a comment and a question.

Chairperson Jennings asked that all the proponents speak first on both bills HB2283 and HB2299 then the opponents.
