Natalie Scott gave a brief overview of HB2050.

Representative Jennings brought an amendment to the bill (Attachment 1). Representatives Highberger, Wheeler, Owens, and Smith had comments and questions.

Representative Jennings moved to amend HB2050 with the Jennings amendment, seconded by Representative Wheeler.

Representatives Highberger, Jennings, and Smith had comments and questions.

The motion to amend passed. Representatives Carmichael, Highberger, Owens, and Weigel requested their 'Aye' votes be recorded.

Representative Carmichael moved HB2050 favorably for passage as amended by the Jennings amendment, seconded by Representative Weigel.

HB2050 passed favorably as amended by the Committee. Representatives Carmichael, Highberger, and Weigel requested their 'Aye' vote be recorded. Representative Owens requested their 'Nay' vote be recorded.

Representative Patton reported on the Subcommittee on HB2048 and HB2073. He stated the Subcommittee met briefly yesterday, February 12, 2019 following the Committee adjourning. The Subcommittee decided not to make any recommendation; to have the hearing on HB2048; and work one or both bills next week.

Chairperson Jennings adjourned the meeting.
