Chairman Olson opened the hearing on the bill and he called for a Revisor of Statutes overview on the bill. Eileen Ma provided the overview.

Proponent Kathy Taylor explained the need for amendments concerning the certificate of existence, voting rights conversion and the delivery of notices. She asserted that the amendments were important clarifications in the Kansas Banking Code to bring certainty to institutions and their customers.
