Natalie Scott gave an overview of HB2568. The Committee had questions and comments.
Executive Director Scott Schultz testified on behalf of the Kansas Sentencing Commission in support of HB2568 increases the felony threshold value of several crimes from $1,000 to $1,500 thus making these crimes consistent with the current penalties of theft. (Attachment 2)
The Committee had questions and comments.
Chairperson Jennings called for final questions from the Committee and then closed the hearing.
