Chairman Wilborn opened the hearing on SB266 - Amending collateral source definition for crime victim’s compensation fund. Jason Thompson provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 10)
Dwight Carswell gave support for SB266 explaining that the Crime Victims Compensation Board is to be a last resort if victims have not already recovered compensation through another avenue. The bill would prevent duplication in the recovery of compensation. (Attachment 11) Mr. Carswell answered questions from committee members.
There being no other conferees, the Chairman closed the hearing on SB266.
