Justin Carroll provided fiscal note information concerning proposed amendments to HB2228.
Vice Chair Kerschen withdrew his earlier motion to amend HB2228. Senator Goddard withdrew his second of the motion.
Vice Chair Kerschen made a motion to amend HB2228 by changing the tax rate and the food sales tax rate effective January 1, 2017. Senator Goddard seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Senator Francisco presented information to the Committee concerning low income exclusion and the renters homestead program. (Attachment 1)
Senator Francisco made a motion to amend HB2228 by eliminating a tax exclusion and replacing a renters' homestead program. Ranking Minority Member Holland seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Senator Francisco made a motion to amend HB2228 by making the previous amendment effective January 1, 2017. Ranking Minority Member Holland seconded the motion. Motion passed.
