Chairperson LaTurner opened the hearing on SB 6.
Senator Faust-Goudeau spoke of having a procedure in place on how to conduct the exchange of information from a motorist who has the legal right to carry during a traffic stop (Attachment 1).
Glenda Overstreet-Vaugh agreed with the senator and said SB 6 would contribute to transparency (Attachment 2).
Ed Klumpp opposes SB 6 because it would be very difficult to create a policy to cover all the various aspects of encountering a person who may be armed (Attachment 3).
Eric Smith agreed with Ed Klumpp (Attachment 4).
Melissa Wangemann also agreed with Ed Klumpp (Attachment 5).
Chairperson LaTurner closed the hearing on SB 6.
