Natalie Scott gave an overview of HB2091.

Representative John Whitmer testified in support of HB2091 as it adds a parental notification clause to the medical amnesty bill passed in 2016. (Attachment 9)

Representative Whitmer responded to questions from the Committee.

Donna Lippoldt on behalf of the Culture Shield Network testified in support of HB2091, without this amendment, which requires the notification of parents, it would seem unethical to not notify the parents. (Attachment 10)

Ms. Lippoldt responded to questions from the Committee.

Written testimony was submitted by Brandon Beck as President of the Kansas Emergency Medical Systems Association testified in opposition of HB2091. (Attachment 11)

Chairperson Jennings called for final questions from the Committee and then closed the hearing.

Chairperson Jennings reminded the Committee of the upcoming tour tomorrow at the Juvenile Corrections Complex.

Chairperson Jennings adjourned the meeting.
