Chairperson Longbine turned the Committee's attention to action on HB2097. He announced there was an amendment to change the effective date to its publication in the Kansas Register. (Attachment 8) Senator Warren asked if this bill mirrored SB15. Eileen Ma, Assistant Revisor of Statutes (ROS), responded that it was identical.
Chairperson Longbine moved the amendment, seconded by Senator Fagg. The amendment was adopted .
Senator Fagg moved, seconded by Senator Kloos, to pass HB2097, as amended, with favorable recommendation. The motion carried.
