Chairperson Carpenter stated that the Committee would now take up HCR5008. The revisor provided an overview on the bill. The revisor stated that there is a balloon amendment. There was a Whereas clause left out inadvertently, and the amendment puts it in (Attachment 23).
Representative Blake Carpenter moved to amend HCR5008, seconded by Representative Eplee. The amendment passed.
Representative Eplee moved that the Committee recommend HCR5008, as amended, favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Thomas. A vote was taken, the Chair stated the ayes had it, and division was called.
HCR5008, as amended, was favorably passed by a vote of 13 yes votes and 10 no votes.
The following representatives asked to have their yes votes recorded: Representatives Sanders, Moser, Blake Carpenter, Howell, Buehler, Thomas, and Eplee.
The following representatives asked to have their no votes recorded: Representatives Haswood, Highberger, Miller, Hoye, Ruiz, Clayton, Houser, and Jacobs.
