Chairperson Billinger opened the hearing on HB 2270. Chris Waggoner, Office of the Revisor of Statues, provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 8)
State Fire Marshal Doug Jorgensen testified in favor of the bill. For a number of years there has been a proviso required so that the 10 percent SGF fee is taken off the top of the transfer before funds are distributed to the agencies. This bill would move the proviso language into statute so it would no longer have to be done every year. Fire Marshal Jorgensen responded to questions from Committee members. (Attachment 9)
Written only testimony in support of the bill was submitted by Joseph House, Board of Emergency Medical Services. (Attachment 10)
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Billinger closed the hearing on HB 2270.
