Chairman Olson opened the hearing on the bill. He called for Eileen Ma for a Revisor of Statutes overview of the bill.
Chairman Olson called upon Lee Modesitt for proponent testimony on behalf of the Kansas Insurance Department. (Attachment 1)
Mr. Modesitt explained that accreditation minimizes the level of regulation and oversight from other state regulatory entities. The committee expressed some concerns regarding some of the requirements of the bill.
Seeing no additional questions or further testimony, the Chairman closed the hearing on the bill.
