Chairperson Bowers opened the hearing on SB338. Mike Heim, staff revisor, presented a briefing on the bill.
Trey Cocking testified in support of SB338 indicating this is a problem the League has been looking for a solution to for a long time. Mr. Cocking's testimony stated SB338 would give taxing entities the option of either using the existing budget and property tax levy setting process or a new procedure. Mr. Cocking responded to questions from the Committee. (Attachment 1)
