Chairperson Vickrey opened the hearing on HB 2479. Eileen Ma, Assistant Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of the bill (Attachment 3).
Lee Modesitt testified in support of the bill. He said Kansas was a member of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The bill addressed a NAIC accreditation requirement for corporate governance regulation (Attachment 4).
There were no opponents to the bill.
Member's questions were asked and answered.
There being no other conferees or questions, the chairperson closed the hearing on HB 2479.
Chairperson Vickrey adjourned the meeting at 3:45 pm.
