Chairman Carpenter opened the hearing on HB2235
Zach Fridell, Assistant Revisor of Statues provided an overview of HB2235. (Attachment1)
Jay Befort, Deputy General Counsel, Kansas Department of Revenue answered questions from a neutral position and provided a background on the Executive order 04-03. Dedra Platt, Revenue Recovery Bureau, responded to questions from Committee. Chairman Carpenter requested that Zach Fridell, Assistant Revisor, adjust language on line 15 and other various fee or charges administered by other state agency reflect the suggestions made by committee and closer align with the intent of former Governor Kathleen Sebelius's Executive Order 04-03. (Attachment 2)
Chairman Will Carpenter closed the hearing at 4:30 pm.
